A verdict without a log is worth nothing.

What a blocked website means for the facts on this site

Most of the blanks on this site are ours rather than theirs, and knowing which is which changes what a blank means.

A blank cell in a comparison table reads as filing that fell behind. On this site it almost always means something more specific, and being clear about which is the difference between a finding and an artefact of where a researcher happened to be sitting.

Three different silences

The first is a genuine block: a request from outside Ghana is redirected to a notice, and nothing of the product is visible. The second is a site built entirely in the browser, which serves an empty shell to anything that is not a browser and looks broken rather than blocked. The third is a page that exists and says nothing, which is the honest answer to the question and gets recorded as a checked absence.

The three look identical in a table and mean completely different things, so this site distinguishes them everywhere: a checked absence scores zero, an unreadable page scores nothing at all, and each report says which applies.

The trap that nearly published a fabrication

One bookmaker on this register serves a block page that carries its own navigation and game names. An early read of it came back looking like a working homepage, and anything taken from it, including the names of games supposedly in the lobby, would have been published as fact about a product nobody had seen. That it was caught is on the log; that it was nearly not is the reason the log exists.

What this costs the verdicts

Two axes go thin. Most casino lobbies in this market cannot be counted, so the games axis is empty on most of the table, and several welcome offers had to be taken from affiliate agreement because no operator page could be opened. Every verdict computed over a thinner model carries the share of the model next to it, on every page.

Questions this raises

Does a blocked site mean the bookmaker is hiding something?
No. Geographic restriction is a licensing and payments decision and it is completely ordinary. The consequence is still real: an outside reader cannot check what the company says about itself.
Could this be solved by looking from inside Ghana?
Most of it, yes, and the records say so explicitly. Several carry a note describing exactly which endpoint to read and what it needs, written for whoever checks next. Those notes are published rather than kept internal.
